A Safe Space for Neurodivergent Movement:
From Yoga to Kettlebells - Your Journey, Your Way

Movement that understands you

I work with neurodivergent individuals to improve mental and physical well-being drawing on my experience as Yoga teacher, Pilates teacher and Personal Trainer. Everyone receives individualised support on technique. Neurodivergent people often have co-existing conditions such as hypermobility, and can be less body aware therefore I work with you to get more aware and confident in your own body as well as working on your fitness.

The studio environment is designed with neurodivergent sensory needs in mind. Lighting is adjustable, sound levels are kept comfortable, and there’s plenty of space to move without feeling crowded. Unlike typical fitness spaces that can overwhelm with excessive stimulation, the studio provides a calm, predictable environment where you can focus on movement without distraction.

Awakening your nervous system

Your nervous system is an incredibly important part of your ability to exercise and move well. We need to bring your nervous system out of “safe mode” and into “play mode”.

Many neurodivergent people operate with constantly elevated stress responses, which affects how we move, breathe, and recover. In our sessions, we incorporate techniques that help regulate your nervous system, creating a foundation for more effective, enjoyable movement. This might include breathwork, grounding exercises, or mindful movement patterns that help your body feel safe enough to explore new ways of moving.

In burnout – your nervous system puts your body in safe mode. You’re awake but all your apps have shut down including “how to move”. As you come out of burnout, your body starts to reboot all of your apps including “moving for fun”.

Rediscovering the joy of movement

“Move for the joy of it”

At school you are not allowed to move, you are forced to sit still and listen, then just when you’ve nearly lost the will to live you are forced out for bracing cross country runs and therefore you’ve now associated movement with feeling like shit.

My approach helps you rebuild a positive relationship with movement at your own pace. We explore different types of exercise – from gentle yoga flows to strength training with kettlebells – finding what genuinely feels good in your body rather than what you “should” do. This exploration can be especially healing for those who have experienced movement as punishment or have felt inadequate in traditional fitness settings.

Whether you’re recovering from burnout, managing chronic conditions, or simply looking for a more accommodating fitness experience, the studio offers a judgment-free zone where your neurotype is understood and your movement journey is respected. Together, we’ll discover ways of moving that energise rather than deplete, building strength, confidence, and body awareness in ways that work specifically for you.

Get in Touch

The first step to working with me, is to send me an enquiry!

Please use the form to let me know which way you’re interested in working with me, and a little bit about your current circumstances.

I currently have a waiting list, but will be in touch within a few days to see if we are a good match for working together.

F.A.Q.

Yes. I find I am best at working with people whose brains are wired similarly to mine. My experience also means that I am an expert at how neurodivergence affects fitness and physical activity.

No! Self-identification is absolutely valid. If you identify as neurodivergent and want a supportive space to work on your fitness, I am likely to be the right fitness professional for you.

No. Absolutely not! Even if you are currently wheelchair bound or bed bound, there are levels of exercises we can do together to gradually increase your fitness level.

Not at all. People work with me for as long as they need. I don’t offer a coaching “package” because everyone is individual. My entire aim is to teach you not to need me. That may take one session, or you may work with me for a number of sessions over a few months. It is all individual to you and your needs.
