My concept – “Stick em Up Fitness” aims to make working out with mobility aids fun and most importantly effective.

Stick em Up Fitness is a unique fitness concept where we use mobility aids (regardless of your level of mobility!) as the awesome exercise equipment that they are. I love my crutches and walking sticks, they are like a portable gym and I want to share how cool that is with others. If you are only using them to walk (or not currently using them at all) you are missing out on all the fun.

Think of your mobility aids as versatile exercise tools that can help with balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. They provide stability when you need it and resistance when you want it. This innovative approach transforms what many see as a limitation into a creative advantage for fitness.

Whether you consider yourself disabled or able-bodied, adding walking sticks to your workout will enhance the quality of your workout.

Traditional fitness programs often overlook the needs and abilities of people who use mobility aids. Stick Em Up Fitness flips this narrative, celebrating mobility tools as assets rather than limitations. The exercises are designed to work with your body’s unique capabilities while building functional strength for everyday activities.

Each movement can be modified to suit different energy levels, mobility ranges, and sensory preferences. This makes the programme especially valuable for neurodivergent individuals who may benefit from customisable exercise options that respect their body’s signals.
